note: Apart from wild female of sp. cincticollis I`ve never reached oviposition in this genus. These beetles may share many breeding characteristic with genus Stethodesma as being systematically close, both family Gymnetini, however I haven`t had any problem to make Stethodesma lay eggs so far. Sp. infuscata is very common all over the tropical Africa.
