genus:  DICRONOCEPHALUS  Hope 1831
species: wallichi   Hope 1831
subspecies: bourgoini  Pouillaude 1914
origin: Taiwan
wild imago size: 20-30 mm

genus:  PLATYNOCEPHALUS  Westwood 1854
species: miyashitai  Delpont 1995
origin: Thailand
wild imago size: 20-30mm

sexual dimorphism: males with developed horns on clypeus

I haven`t got much experience with these two species. Females of Dicronocephalus are supposed to lay eggs inside some kind of cone shape nest using fresh leaves. I did confirm that Platynocephalus larvae need horse dung for the development. Both beetles need to add some clay or soil when pupate. In cocoon stage they often do not hibernate.
